The
Source Training works with companies to take their existing training
content and develop a set of source files that allows the content
to be deployed in up to eight media-rich training systems. All eight systems are
driven from this central set of files, which means updates to the
materials are centrally done. If the materials require translation,
this is also done centrally. In other words, authored once, deployed
eight ways...revised once, deployed eight ways...translated once, deployed
eight ways.
Using The Source Training's Blended Learning Portal, users can easily access whichever format meets their current needs. The Blended Learning Portal includes individual and course level messaging, reporting, blogging, and access to training applications, individual modules, etc.
One
of the eight media types (formats) that The Source Training creates from
your 'source' files is engaging computer-based training. To help replace
a live instructor, CBTs can include audio, video, flash movies, zGraphics, and vProfessors.
The CBTs may contain any or all of our various module
types. The Source Training can secure your content through CBT licensing.
This licensing can be defined by number of users, per machine, number
of runs, etc.
Web-based
Training (WBT)
Using
your single set of 'source' files, your curriculum can be deployed over
the web. WBT can include audio, video, flash movies, zGraphics, and vProfessors.
Custom authentication to a backend database will assure that students only
have access to those courses that are designed for their use. WBT modules
may be integrated into LMS systems.
Instructor-led
materials include manuals and presentation materials which are all created
from your single set of 'source' files. This means the content of a
student's manual matches exactly with the instructor's presentation
(and other versions of the materials), making it extremely easy for
students to follow instructors' presentations and to have a blended
learning experience without the worries of inconsistencies across media
types.
Manuals
Since
all training materials are created in a modular fashion, custom documentation
can quickly be created by choosing modules cafeteria-style using our
online proofing and manual assembly capabilities. Just-in-Time delivery
allows you to order customized manuals as late as 10:00 pm Eastern for
delivery the next day.
Distance-learning
(DistantSource)
Our
distance-learning system, 'DistantSource' allows you to utilize your single set of 'source' files to synchronously
train students online. The presentations may include video, flash animations,
static graphics, etc. Students may use video, audio, and/or text to
interact with instructors. Distant Source also includes whiteboard and
chat capabilities.
Video/DVD
The
Source Training can allow you to take your single set of 'source' files
and create a media-rich video or dvd from the materials. Since all materials
may be updated by simply updating the central set of 'source' files,
no longer is it a challenge to keep all media types in sync.
MP3-based
Learning
The
Source Training can create MP3 versions of your 'source' files which
allows students to truly take training whenever or wherever they may
find themselves. The modular nature of the materials allows students
to quickly access those sections that are relevant to their responsibilities.
Mobile
Learning (Pocket PC-based)
By
using industry standard development tools we can also deploy your single
set of 'source' files via Pocket PC. This allows students to take their
learning with them on the road. This content may be stored locally or
on a remote web server for wireless access and secure authentication.
